Bio
I've been playing drums since I was 14. Over the years I've played in a range of bands from Big Bands (Jazz/Swing) to garage bands (well more like garden sheds actually, but you get the idea). Now I'm absolutely loving playing in Position Absolute, because it gives me the opportunity to blend my all time favourite bands with some supremely talented musicians.

• Drum Kit: Ludwig 1970's Super Classic
• Snare Drum: Ludwig Supraphonic 402 Snare (The BEST snare in rock history, bar NONE!!)
• Cymbals: All Sabian. HH 20" Ride. 14" APX Crash, 14" Metal X Crash, 18" HH Crash, 14" APX O-Zone, 13" AA Fusion Hi-Hats
• Double Pedals: Tama Iron Cobras (You can't beat these pedals).
• Hi Hat Stand: Tama Iron Cobra Leverglide (one of the smoothest HH pedals ever due to it's kevlar strap)
• Hardware: Pearl Stands and Tama Throne (that's right it's a throne)

I also play a custom built electronic kit paired with Superior Drummer 2.0 for recording which allows me to combine some truly stunning samples with real playing.

Influences
Buddy Rich - The greatest big band drummer of all time. If you're a budding drummer check out some of his stuff.
Brad Wilk - Rages sticksmith and whilst not the flashiest drummer of all time, is one hell of a player.
Lars Ulrich - Black Album, I don't need to say any more.

Favourite Bands
As the band will tell you I listen to a truly eclectic selection (i.e. some of it is awful by their standards) of music. I love Metal which has plenty of crunching riffs(think Rammstein, SOAD, RATM, Tool, Disturbed etc) , but I also like to listen to more mainstream music as I also play fingerpicked guitar. Eric Clapton is one of my favourites and you can't ever forget the incredible Tenacious D as they are quite frankly, modern day geniuses.
